Golden Rock

The Golden Boulder
An enchanting Journey into a land of fantasy. KyaikHtiyo Pagoda (the Golden Rock) is in the area known in the ancient days as Suvannabhumi (the Golden Land).

Day 1: Yangon-Bago - KyaikHtiyo
Overland drive from Yangon to Bago about 50 miles for an hour drive. Bago city sightseeing, the ancient capital of Mon, known as Hansavati. Sightseeing; Kyaikpon Pagoda- 4 gigantic seated Buddha Image, Shwemawdaw Pagoda-the highest Pagoda in Myanmar, Shwethalyaung Pagoda- the oldest reclining Buddha image in Myanmar- 54 meter long and build in 994 A.D, the Mon village and Bago market.
Proceed to Golden Rock 62 mile (100 km) through the never ended Paddy fields. Arrive Kim-pun base camp at the foot of the mountain ridge. Drive up by special mountain truck to get to Yathae (Hermit) mountain and from there, hiking for an hour to Kyaikhto hotel near Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda.

Day 2: Golden Rock - Yangon
Strolling around the hill sites and return to Base camp form the hill. Drive back to Yangon.

Mrauk U

Mrauk-U, a fine last royal capital of Rakhine (1430 A.D) has scenic beauty and historical remains, which are inextricable and remarkable. As it is Mrauk-U is the ` youngest' of all cities in Rakhine, other Old cities are Dhanyawaddy (B.C 580) and Vesali (327 A.D). Innumerable pagodas belong to all ages can be found throughout the cities.

Day 1: Yangon - Sittwe
Fly to Sittwe and arrival in the afternoon; begin our sightseeing first to Cultural Museum - the introduction to the geographical and cultural value of the area. Next visit to A Buddhist monastery to see the best collections of centuries old items from that region. Late in the afternoon we will visit the most famous pagoda `Pyi-lone-chan-tha', it mean may everyone is wealthy and peaceful. In the evening we will go for stroll at the evening market near the harbor, which is the front of fishing boats. Overnight in Sittwe.

Day 2: Sittwe - Mrauk U
We will start about 6 A.M this morning by boat for a wonderful and slow half-day on the Kanladan River, our way to Mrauk-U, past magical scenes of old Asia: Farmers plugging their firm with buffaloes, several fishing along the river, cutting a mass of green thatch and several villages & their way of life and more over a big number of Hansa (or) Bremeni ducks are swimming in the river. We will arrive Mrauk-U in the afternoon.
Afternoon sightseeing; The Sitthaung Pagoda (a commemoration of the successful defense against Portuguese attack in 1535 A.D), Andaw temple (an octagonal structure of pure sandstone), Dukkhanthein pagoda (the temple build of hewn sandstone and layers of bricks over the roof), Laymyetnta pagoda and sunset from a small hillock near Sitthaung pagoda. Overnight in Mrauk U.

Day 3: Dhanyawaddy & Vesali
Today in the morning an excursion to Dhanyawaddy & Vesali old cities. Afternoon, first visit to Archaeological museum and palace excavation, pitakataik(or) the library build of stones in 1591 A.D, Baddoola monastery and leisure. Leisure or explore your-self among the temples and pagodas in the evening. Overnight in Mrauk U.

Day 4: Mrauk U - Sittwe
Return by boat to Sittwe along the same way, arrival in the Lake Afternoon, hotel check-in and leisure. Overnight in Sittwe.

Day 5: Sittwe - Yangon
Visiting to Sittwe main market. Afternoon flight to Yangon.

Chaungtha beach

One beach resort that has gained fame and popularity since 1990 is the Chaungtha (pleasant Stream) Beach Resort. Chaungtha beach is located 32 mile to the west of Pathein (Bassein) in Ayeyarwaddy Division. The best way to get to Chaungtha is by car from Yangon. Yangon to Pathein about 4-hour drive for 115 mile through delta regions of Ayeyarwaddy division and Pathein to Chaung-tha takes about 2 hours. A regular double-decker boat leaves Yangon about 4 pm every evening and reaches Pathein early in the next day. Due to nearest and easy accessible from Yangon, Chaungtha beach receive more local visitors annually.

Day 1: Yangon to Chaungtha by car
Our driver will meet you at your hotel and depart after breakfast. About 4 and half hour drive to Pathin. Cross Ayeyarwaddy River over Bo-Myat-Tun Bridge, second longest one in Myanmar 8544 feet. Proceed to Pathein.
There is Pathein (Nawun) River to cress over Pathin Bridge. After Pathin river to beach will take only an hour drive. The road will be a crossing over western mountain range about 1500 feet above sea. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: beach Leisure
There is opportunity to stroll along the seashore and visit nearby villages to sample the local cuisine, and buy trinkets and ornaments fashioned from sea shells, cowries, mother of pearl, huge rock-shrimp and crabs, fossilized marine flora and unusual coral formations etc. to take back as souvenirs or presents upon your departure.

Day 3: Chaungtha beach - Yangon
After lunch drive back to Yangon along same road. Pathein sightseeing includes ShweMoutHtaw Pagoda, PhaungtawU Pagoda, Traditional bamboo umbrellas factory and Pathin market.

Ngapali beach

The beautiful Ngapali Beach is located in Thandwe (Sandoway), on western costal line of Myanmar in The Bay of Bengal, about an hour's flight from Yangon. This un-spoilt beach stretches over 3 km and is an ideal place for the one who loves blue sea of placid water, fine white sand, sun shining. There is a 9-holes golf course only three miles away from the Ngapali beach. Nearby fishing villages are also interesting places.

The best time to visit Ngapali Beach is from October to May.
There is daily flight from Yangon - Ngapali - Yangon and from Heho to Ngapali beach on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Flight from Yangon to Ngapali takes 45 minutes.
There are several nice hotels in Ngapali beach and you should have a watch at "hotels in Myanmar" pages.

Ngapali beach is the last spot for recreation and relaxation when after you have visited several major tour sites in Myanmar. Visiting near by fishing villages will make your unforgettable moment besides your other daily activities. Ngwesaung beach

Kyaingtong

Day 1: Heho - Kenton
Fly to Kengtong with private airlines. Arrive Kengtong in the late afternoon. All flights from Yangon to Kengtong via Tachilake. Transfer to Hotel. Evening sightseeing - Mahamyat Muni Pagoda. Strolling around town and Sunset with landscape at the hill of a tree where 245 year old Ka-nyin (Diptero carpus) tree planted by King Alaungmintaya - the founder of Third Myanmar Empire. Overnight in Ken tong.

Day 2: Visiting tribe villages
This morning visit water Buffalo market and central market that you will have opportunity to see local tribe groups. We will drive about 45 minutes and hiking to Pin Tauk areas and trek into lash and green forest with beautiful landscape view. Visiting Akha and Enn tribe villages about 4 hours for entire trip. The hiking is doing easy and slow. Lunch brake at Pin Tauk waterfall. Return to hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Excursion to Loimwe
Today will drive to Loimwe about 2 and half hours drive for 22 miles. On the way, stop at Akha village about 7th mile north east of Kengtong and stop at more villages of Shan, Wa, Lahu and Akha ethnic groups. Loimwe is located over 5000 ft or 1600 meter above sea. It is a hill station since British time and old colonial buildings and century old Catholic Churches can be seen today. It is great attraction to see sceneries along the way to Loimwe. We will back to hotel in the evening.

Day 4: Visiting tribe villages
After breakfast, hiking to tribe villages. Driving by car about an hour and 15 minutes to get near Ho Kyin villages. Pang Ma Phai Akha village will need to hike about 30 minutes from there walk to Phala Akha village. Next to Na Phi Phank and Ho Kyin villages of Lahu and Akha tribes. Come down to our car and return to hotel.

Day 5: Around the town
Today fly back to Heho or Mandalay. Our flight check in time is in the afternoon and allowing time will see around Kengtong. Sightseeing - Hot spa, pottery making in Yan Gone village, Shan lacquer-were workshop, Naung Tong Lake and Wat Jom Kham Pagoda.

Lashio

(3 days / 2 nights)

Day 1: Mandalay - Lashio
Depart for Lashio after breakfast. First town we are going to pass through PyinOoLwin. The road is up hill. PyinOoLwin (Maymyo) has 43 miles 69 kilometres away from Mandalay and over fifteen hundreds feet above sea level. It is famous as a hill resort. The weather is pleasant and cold weather all the year round because of higher elevation, thick forest and the blooming of the various kinds of seasonal flowers, so, it is called a town of flowers.
After passing through PyinOoLwin Township, we are entering Northern Shan State. Road is up and down along hill ranges surrounded by lush and green forest and vegetations. Within an hour drive, you are going to see Got-hteik viaduct. The Gokteik Bridge, a structure of steel trestle construction for railway line to Lashio began in 1901 by an American company - the Pennsylvania and Maryland Bridge Construction and completed in 1913. It is 2260 feet long and was built 320 feet high above a deep ragged stone rock valley. The Rock itself is 550 feet high above the small river that flows under the rock. Although the viaduct is destroyed in the second-World war, Myanma railway repaired the bridge. Due to its technical and natural condition it was considered as a masterpiece of the world standard. Mr Paul Theroux said his book " The Great Railway Bizarre" called the viaduct " a monster of silver geometry in all the ragged rock and jungle---its presence was bizarre". It is the most important viaduct in Mandalay Lashio rail-road section and the second highest viaduct in the world.
There will be lunch break at the town of Kyauk_Me. Several restaurants by the road and local Shan food are available. Proceed to Lashio after lunch. Overnight in Lashio.

Day 2: Lashio - PyinOoLwin
Lashio market is very colourful and actives with morning fresh air. There is opportunity to see many minority races. Drive to PyinOoLwin. Along the way stops at Hsipaw and town sightseeing. Arrive Maymyo at late evening.

Day 3: PyinOoLwin - Mandalay
Morning sightseeing: Main market, botanical garden, Chinese temple and famous waterfall. Drive back to Mandalay, driving time about an hour and half. Arrive Mandalay and end of service.

Monywa

(2 days / 1 night)
All year round

Day 1: Mandalay - Monywa
Depart for Monywa after breakfast. About 85 miles (136 km) to the North-west of Mandalay. The town is the commercial centre for Indian trade. Bodhi-ta-taung (one thousand Bo trees), Thanbuddae Pagoda, Po-win taung Hills are interesting places to be visited.
Monywa sightseeing is not completed with a visit to Thanbuddae Pagoda, well-known for its architectural designs. The pagoda is situated within 7 miles South East of Monywa, Sagaing Division in Upper Myanmar-37 acres wide the square-shaped ground is surrounded by walls. It is clean and pleasant although the place is next to a dense mountain forest. Moe-Hnyin Sayadaw built the pagoda in 1937.
The gate-way of the pagoda on each side of the gate-way you will see two white elephants. In the compound of the pagoda, there are two main religious buildings main shrine, and prayer hall.
In the main shrine, upper and lower satellite pagodas of different sizes and shapes are built. And there are also many satellite pagodas of all shape and sizes in the prayer hall. In all there are 864 upper and lower satellite pagodas in the two buildings. The strange thing about the pagoda is its flag-mast built around the pagoda.
Buddhists build prayer-POSTs some like flag-masts as commemorative and religious signs in pagodas compounds. The flag-masts near Thanbuddae Pagoda are built on a brick-foundation and at the top of the flag-masts there are brick-spire like roof-Buddha-shaped flag-masts. It is a systematic building style and it takes Lucidity. The descriptive plays, floral designs and fruits offered to the Buddha or monks are painted on the outer brick-wall of the pagoda.
There are different sizes and pastures of Buddha images in the main shrine, the standing images are placed at the corner and the sitting images are on wide and open space. The pagodas are placed according to its number on the brick wall so its building style is not annoyed at the sight of somebody.
The holes where light rays can pass through made at the roof in order to see the images with natural lights. The wind holes are hidden by Abaya Pagoda to prevent the rough wind and to bring smooth wind in the main shrine. The main shrine is composed of four main rooms. Prayer hall is composed of (8) rooms in the length and (4) rooms in the width. Although there are many rooms, the Buddha image in the back room can be seen from the front room horizontally and the Buddha images at the side, laterally.
Thanbuddae Pagoda is interested in its architectural designs and systematic painting and decoration with portraits uncountable number of images can be seen at one place. So Thanbuddae Pagoda is a famous pagoda with uncountable number of images.

Day 2: Monywa to Mandalay
After breakfast, return to Mandalay. End of service on arrival at Mandalay.

Mawlamying

Duration - 5 days 4 night
Best time - All year round

A capital city of Mon State. Mon State is situated in the South-Eastern coastal region of Myanmar. Blue sea against Yoma Mountains makes the scene so beautiful. Similarly Mawlamyaing is a really pleasant town surrounded by mountains and blue sea. Choungzon, Mudon, Kyaikmayaw, Thanphyuzayat are famous places to be visited. There are many pagodas and stupas in Mawlamyaing. In this region one can see Kyaikthanlan pagoda. In Mudon there is the world biggest Buddha Image (Win Sein Taw Ya Reclining Buddha Image).

Drive to Mawlamying about 5 hours drive from Golden Rock. On the way, stop for a visit to Ba-yain-nyi cave where is a hot spa. It has a belief among native people to take a bath in that particular hot spa is curable skin disease.
Proceed to the town of Pha-an, the capital of Kayin State. Lunch break at Pha-an.

Day 3: Mawlamying
Morning visit to a main market of Mawlamying, very colourful and busy. Strolling at downtown area, there are several houses as an old British style.
Evening sightseeing include; Mahamyat Muni Buddha Image, Kyaikthanlan Pagoda, Sein Taung Queen monastery and sunset from U khan Ti pagoda Hill. Overnight in Mawlamying.

Day 4: KyaikMaYaw - Kyaik-Kami excursions
Today, drive to a town of KyaikMaYaw; visit the biggest reclining Buddha Image.
Proceed to the town of Thanphyuzayat, there is WWII cemetery of Allied forces and most of them were from death railway between Myanmar and Thailand. Continue to Kyaik-Kami pagoda by the sea and Set-Se beach. Return to Mawlamying.

Day 5: Mawlamying - Yangon
Visit Gaung-Say-Kyun island and drive back to Yangon.

Salay - Mt. Popa

Day return excursion

After breakfast drive to a town of Chauk about 40 minutes drive from Bagan. When after driving about half an hour, you get into an area with many crude oil rigs and gas wells on either side of the roads. You are going to cross over big sand dunes, greatly and much seen in central Myanmar dry arid zone.

Burma Oil Company established in 1886 by David Sime Cargill investing 1.5 million Sterling pounds, and later up to 18 million pounds and crude oil production in Chauk more than a century ago. The morning market in this town is really busy and attractive to all visitors from home and abroad. Continue our visit to Salay. Visit the famous monastery "Yoke-Sone-Kyaung'' which is a cultural heritage site in Sale, which in situated on the eastern bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River. It is famous with its spectacular woodcarvings. And also native town of the famous writer Sale U Pone Nya during the time of the Myanmar Kings.

Sale Yoke Sone Kyaung was built in AD 1882. There are very beautiful artistic work woodcarvings around it and also ancient Buddha image, utensils of Yadanabon 19 century period, and the museum of Myanmar famous writer U Pone Nya in Sale Yoke Sone Kyaung. Next to "Man" pagoda built in AD 1300. It was made by lacquer ware.

Then drive to the town of KyaukPaDaung for lunch. After lunch, 30 minutes drive to Mt. Popa hillock-a table shaped mountain in a half way of Mt. Popa peak over 5,000 feet above sea.

Mt. lat-topped hill is located in 41 miles-67 kilometres southeast of Bagan, an extinct volcano over 2400 feet above sea, rising out of Mt Popa western-range. It is famed as the abode of the Mahagiri Nats or Spirit to whom the people of Bagan in 11 century paid annual homage and their shrines can be seen at a nearby rocky crag.

When you go up along the archways, you will find various kinds of shops such as toys, souvenirs and traditional medicines. The people from every corner of Myanmar visit this flat-topped hillock whenever they are on trip to Bagan. So, Mt Popa, an extinct volcano is always active with pilgrimages. Return to Bagan in the evening.

Bahmo

Duration - 4 days 3 nights
Availability - September to May

Bahmo is situated 364 feet above sea level and many historical pagodas. The name Bahmo was derived from Shan's word "Mamaw" meaning place to make pots.

Day 1: Mandalay - Bahmo by flight
Transfer to airport and fly to Bahmo. On arrival, transfer to Hotel. Stroll around the town in the evening. Overnight in Bahmo.

Day 2: Bahmo
Morning visit to main market of Bahmo. Ethnic tribes such as Kachin, Lisu and Shan can be seen on market day. Next to city wall of Sampa-Nago, the old Shan kingdom. Visit old Bahmo town site and the elegant TheinDawGyi Pagoda. Overnight in Bahmo.

Day 3: Bahmo - Mandalay by cruise
Leave this memorable town at the morning toward second defile of Ayeyarwaddy River by boat. The boat "Pyi Myanmar" is belonged to Government inland water transport used for Mandalay-Bahmo trips. Depart from Bahmo on Tuesday, Thursday and Sun. Arrive Mandalay next day afternoon.
Down the river of Ayeyarwaddy from Bahmo.
Bahmo is the highest point of the Ayeyarwaddy for bigger boats. After about two hours downstream from Bahmo, will pass Sin-khan village where it was believed the Lord Buddha existed as a King during his many reincarnations. The Second defile was still about an hour trip downstream from Sin-khan.
It had been quite a few miles wide at the junction of the Ayeyarwaddy and Tar-pein River but it was narrow down only about 100 yards to the beginning of the second defile. It extends to about 40 miles compared to the 36 miles of the first defile. Naung-Mon village is situated at the other end. The peculiar feature of the second defile is that the river here passes through the continuous rang of the mountains. On the mountain sides, a mixture of evergreen trees grows in abundant with the presence of the famous Myanmar Teak trees. High cliffs of over 1,200 feet also boarded the river. This special mountain called Nat-Myat-hnar Mountain is also believed to have been the abode of Lord Buddha when he was reincarnated as the King of Monkeys. A landmark within the second defile is the rock-projection resembling the head of the parrot painted for prominent by seamen. It is also a natural warning sign for river traveller to be careful when the water level raise up to the beak. After about an hour to a big town "Shwegu".

Day 4: Mandalay
Arrive Mandalay, in the late afternoon and end of tour.

Pyay

Duration - 2 days 1 night

Pyay formally known as Thi-ri-khit-taya (Srikshetra)
An ancient 'Pyu' Capital lies 8 km south-east of Pyay (Prome), which is located about 178 mile north-west of Yangon. Archaeological discoveries indicate that the city attained its height of prosperity between the 5th and 9th centuries.

Pyay is one of the famous cities in Myanmar and located in Bago Division, near the bank of Ayeyarwaddy River, the biggest and the largest river in Myanmar and also an economic artery. When you look at on each side of the river, will see many pleasant sceneries with the mountain ranges.
The remains at Thi-ri-khit-taya are palace site, the prototype of Bagan vaulted temple such as Lemyethna and East Zegu, the cylinder-shaped Bawbawgyi Pagoda, Payagyi and Payama stupas each with a high conical dome and the Archaeological Museum.
Places of interest in Pyay are Shwesandaw Pagoda, a gigantic sitting Buddha Statue of Hsehtatkyi Pagoda, Shwe Phone Pwint Library, the beautiful scenery of majestic Ayeyarwaddy River and Akauk Taung.

Day 1: Yangon - Pyay
Leaving for Pyay after breakfast. Overland drive from Yangon 178 mile (285 km) through the never ended Paddy fields. One the way, a break for stretch out after 3-hour drive at LetPadan. Proceed to Pyay.
Pyay sightseeing; Crossing mighty Ayeyarwaddy River over Nawaday bridge to the other side and visit a famous pagoda ShweBonTha Muni, it will be a great view of Ayeyarwaddy River and Pyay.
After lunch, visit old city `` Thirikhitayar '' of 2000 year and it's environs including several pagodas and museum. Next to a visit to Buddhist nunnery. Evening visit to the most famous Shwesandaw Pagoda and sunset from there.

Day 2: Akauk Mountain -Yangon
Ancient Buddha Images Carved on Stone Walls of Akauk Mountain. Akauk Mountain is situated near the bank of Ayeyarwaddy River between the southern most part of Pyay District and northern most part of Hinthata District can be reached by waterway from Pyay. When you arrived at Htonbo Village, Pandaung Township, from there about 30 miles to get to Akauk Mountain.
One of the amazing places where many Buddha Images were carved on the mountain site, near the bank of Ayeyarwaddy River. Akauk Mountain has green forest cover and it is very pleasant place.

This mountain is the auspicious land, filled with historic ShweMyintin Pagoda as well as other pagodas and religious edifies. Moreover, there are ravines, gorges, streams and natural scenic beauty for visitors for relaxation and recreation. It is believed that those Buddha Images are carved since many years ago. Artistic craftsman who travelled along the River while doing their business has carved these.

Myitkyina and Putao

Day 1: Mandalay- Putao - Myitkyina - Mandalay
Fly to Putao and arrive Putao in the afternoon. Transfer to Putao Guest house.
In the evening, strolling in the town and the first touch of stunning enjoyment is a scenic beauty of Kachin Mountains, which are part of Himalayan. Putao is the nearest town from the highest mountain of Myanmar and South-east Asia " Khakabo Razi " 19315 feet-high. Overnight in Putao.

Day 2: Putao & it's surrounding countryside
This morning we will visit the enchanted market of the town. We will see several different races of the area, the largest group is Kachin and exotic hodgepodges of races are Rawam, Lisu and Khanti Shan. Next is a visit to Pan Hlaing village and it is accessible by 30 minutes hiking from town. See and believe what is way of life in that area. Overnight in Putao.

Day 3: Putao & near by towns - Myitkyina
Today, we will explore two small towns surrounding Putao, MaChanBaw and Mularshide. First an hour drive to MaChanBaw, on the way, we will cross Malikha river on beautiful cable bridge. Visit morning market and the town. We will go to the other town " Mularshide " which is about 30 minutes drive from Putao. This town is situated by the Mularshide River and named after the River. The town is a pleasant place to wonder and explore with it's activities.
In the afternoon, we will fly to Myitkyina. Overnight in Myitkyina.

Day 4: Myitkyina - The confluence of Ayeyarwaddy River
A lovely drive about 2 hours to the confluence of Maykha and Malikha rivers, on the way, stops at the villages of Lisu race. We will wonder around the confluence of mighty Ayeyarwaddy River. Back to Myitkyina in the afternoon. We will visit famous viewpoint by the River in Myitkyina, named Carainaw.
Overnight in Myitkyina- Xing Xing hotel, Panson hotel or Sumpra hotel.

Day 5: Myitkyina - Mandalay
This morning, we will visit the colourful Myitkyina market with full of activities, as Myitkyina is a city of Kachin state. In the afternoon, we will fly to Mandalay.

Note: : Due to flight schedule, may visit first Myitkyina or Putao, only the order is different and sightseeing are the same at the end.

Loikaw

Loikaw is the capital of Kayah state, located in southern Shan State of Myanmar and on the Pilu River, a tributary of the Thanlwin (Salween) River. Situated in hilly forested country, Loi-kaw has timber and silk-processing industries and is the site of an important hydroelectric power plant. The Loi-kaw Area Irrigation Project is an important undertaking along the Bilu (Pilu) River. Loikaw is about 70 miles south of Kalaw and at an elevation of 1200 meters. It is about 5 hours drive from Kalaw and just an hour's flight from Yangon.

The inhabitants are mostly Kayah also known as Karenni and has a population of about 30,000. National races are the Kayah, Gagho, Gagbar, Kayan (Padaung), Ma nu ma naw, Yin Baw, Yin Ta le`, Inn Tha, Shan and Bamar live in the Kayah State. In the hill regions, you will find the Pa-O national race as well. Most Kayah Padaung nationals live in Pan Pat Village, which is situated in Kayah State.

Accordingly, Padaung traditional costumes and their way of life are distinguished and interesting. One of their beliefs is that the longer the neck, the more beautiful the person is. Therefore, Padaung women when they came of age, wear bronze spiral rings around their necks. That’s why, the Padaung have become a popular tribe of Myanmar.

The famous religious landmark of Loikaw is the Thiri-Mingalar Taung-kwe Pagoda Hill, scenically built on a hillock overlooking the vast expanse of the environs. You can watch desolately at the pilgrims and enjoy the marvelous landscape form the top.
Taungwe Taung Zedi is the most venerated pagoda in Kayah State. Taungwe meaning "Separated hills" in Myanmar. The Kinnare Bird are the national symbol of the Kayah State.

Paddy is the main crop of Kayah State. Besides paddy, various kinds of beans and pulses, maize, sunflower and cotton are also cultivated. Other culinary crops and vegetables are also cultivated in Kayah State.

Myanmar’s largest hydropower plant is located 20 km east of Loikaw at Lawpita Water Falls and named as Lawpita Hydropower Plant. It is the main electric power source in Myanmar.

Day 1: Inle - Loikaw by boat
After breakfast at your hotel, began our trip to south of Inle Lake by a long tail boat about 6 hours riding to a small town named as Phe-khon. On the way, Will stops at several villages to observe the way of life. Lunch brake at Samkar village after 3 hours ride. After lunch, proceed to Phe-khon and passing along the Bilu (Pilu) river. An opportunity to enjoy beautiful sceneries from your boat. Arrive at Phe-khon, drive to Liokaw by car about an hour and 30 minutes drive. Overnight in Loikaw.

Day 2: Liokaw sightseeing
Early morning after breakfast, an hour and half drive to Padaung native village "Pan-pet". Only the Padaung races live in the village. Return to Liokaw and lunch at Loikaw. Drive back to Kalaw. Evening excursion to museum of Kayah state to observe the traditional ways of living of Kayah national races and next visit to Buddhist stupas on Taung Kwe hill-lock. Time to enjoy the sunset and panoramic view of Loikaw. Overnight in Loikaw.

Day 3: Liokaw to Kalaw by coach
After breakfast, drive to Kalaw. On the way, stops at tea leaf plantations, a village. Lunch at local restaurant. Proceed to Kalaw and enroute to Myinmahti natural cave where many thousands of Buddha images and stupas are housed. Overnight in Kalaw.
